At Carl Bird Limited, we take waste disposal seriously, so we have created a purpose-built waste transfer station for commercial use on our premises. Not only is this more convenient for our customers, as it provides an easy way to dispose of waste, but it’s also better for the environment.
Our waste transfer station accepts and sorts waste delivered to us by the County Council and various other businesses in the local area. Instead of sorting through and disposing of waste themselves, they can hand everything over to our hardworking team. All of the machine operatives in our waste transfer station are fully trained and experienced. Plus, we take pride in ensuring the waste transfer station is always clean, and the floor is swept at the end of each day to provide a clean working environment for staff and customers.
All waste is brought to our purpose built fully licensed waste transfer station at Boundary Pit, which is hand and machine sorted to a very high standard. Everything is processed by our waste transfer operatives, who sort the waste in accordance with our environmental management system which was set out by the Environment Agency. We can separate as much recyclable material as possible and reduce unnecessary waste going to landfill. Our operatives will segregate all recyclable materials from the waste to reduce the impact of the waste on the environment and contributions to landfill.
