At Carl Bird Limited, you can hire our skips for up to 14 days, for a fixed price giving you enough time to carry out your project. If you’re finished with your skip sooner, we can still come and take it away. If you have a particular requirement or your project is long-term, get in touch as we offer bespoke options and can assess your job and price it accordingly.
We also offer same day collections with advance notice as well as discounts for single waste streams i.e. concrete/hardcore, wood, paper/card, soil, soil/hardcore or green waste.

Prohibited Items
The following items are deemed as hazardous/contaminants and are not permitted in the skips:
Fridges, Freezers, Televisions, Computer monitors, Fluorescent Tube Lights, Batteries, Liquids (including paint and paint tins), Explosives, Tyres, Asbestos, Gas Bottles.
If you have any of the above items for disposal then contact your local council to find out the services they offer i.e collection, amnesty days and disposal at your local HWRC site.

Excavated Materials – We are no longer able to accept excavated materials (soil/stone/sand/turf) in with our general waste skips due to the complications that it causes to recycling operations on site.
Plasterboard – Due to the classification of plasterboard and the limited number of disposal sites that accept it we have a few options for plasterboard acceptance at our site :
A skip purely for plasterboard. Price on request.
Put in a 1 tonne bag supplied in conjuction with skip hire. Bag to be filled and placed in skip as shown.
Plasterboard can also be brought to our waste transfer station over our weighbridge, charged by the tonne – min 1/2 tonne charge applies.
Asbestos – We supply an enclosed skip purely for asbestos. Please call us for more information.
