Carl Bird Limited was formed in 1980, and we have proudly provided skip hire in Norfolk for over 40 years. Those in the local area will regularly spot our branded lorries out and about, and we’re often seen waving to customers!
We’ve come a long way since 1980 when Carl started carrying out solo site clearances on a small scale. This was followed by a gradual move into machine hire and machine works – including working with a digger and tipper lorry – and the eventual purchase of a local skip business. Once we acquired the local skip business, Carl Bird Limited was born and has gone on to become one of the most well-known businesses in the area.

We began working at Holgate Road Landfill Site in North Walsham before moving to our current premises. The site was much smaller back then, and we soon found ourselves outgrowing it, but additional land has been purchased along the way, and the business has expanded alongside it.
As time passed, we progressed into aggregate supplies and larger-scale skip hire. We now provide a host of skip hire services, working with aggregates and tippers, to commercial businesses in and around North Norfolk. We even built our own waste transfer station, which accepts and sorts waste delivered to us by the County Council and other organisations.
